LatinX Heritage Month

Categories: Diversity & Inclusion

From September 15th to October 15th of each year, the U.S. celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of those with cultural ties to Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America, among others. LatinX Heritage Month honors the positive influence and contributions of Hispanics and Latinos in the United States over many generations.

Today, September 15, is a day of independence for a number of Latin countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16, and Dia de la Raza helps round out the festivities on October 12.

It is important that we acknowledge what we have in common while celebrating what makes us unique. Please email your stories to us at IDEA@flagshipinc.com and let’s make this month one of celebration and learning!
