In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, it is important to discuss countries of Hispanic heritage and the cultural contributions that we celebrate and honor. A well-known way that Hispanic Americans keep up with their roots is through food. Many classic dishes are passed down from generation to generation and resonate with a feeling of home through their flavors. Hispanic cuisine is consumed all over the world, and many countries specialize in their own variations of ingredients, cooking methods and recipes that over time, become known as the National Plate or National Dish. Through the food from each country, you can see the rich history that makes each country’s cuisine delicious and unique.
